Set on the edge of the River Bure in Horning, Willow Cottage is a 1-bedroom thatched holiday home with river and garden views. The property lies 4 km from BeWILDerwood, 17 km from Norwich Cathedral, and 23 km from Blickling Hall. Accommodation comprises a living room with a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and microwave, and one bathroom with a hair dryer. Towels, bed linen, and a private entrance are provided. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, and free parking is included. A terrace offers outdoor space with views of the river and passing boats. The owners run an adjoining cafe where guests can enjoy breakfast and afternoon tea. Pros
Riverside location with direct views of the River Bure and passing boats
Peaceful and quiet setting, ideal for low-season breaks
Comfortable living area with a large sofa and a well-equipped kitchen
On-site cafe run by the owners offering breakfast and afternoon tea
Limited need for a car once parked, with pubs and shops within walking distance
Cons
The kitchen and bathroom are compact and could benefit from updating
WiFi signal can be patchy in some areas of the cottage
“The riverside setting here is undeniably its strongest suit, offering truly captivating views from the upstairs living area and bedroom. Its quiet location right on the water proves remarkably convenient for exploring the Broads, with local amenities and pubs within easy walking distance. The adjoining tea room also adds a pleasant dimension, particularly with the discount for cottage guests, making for a well-rounded and good-value stay.”
